Think back to when you were in school. Who was that one teacher or school administrator who made a difference in your life? Let’s be honest: Educators profoundly impact the success of our kids.
That’s why each January, Upstate Parent honors local educators. These are teachers and administrators who you — our readers — said are making a difference in the lives of your children.
We read your nominations, and made some tough decisions as we chose 10 educators to nominate for 2016. This is our fourth year doing this, and each year the number of nominations grows. It gets more challenging each year for us to make the final choices, but I think you will find this year’s educators diverse, engaging and compelling.
We owe a big thank you to our readers for taking the time to nominate, and wish all of our honorees congratulations. We also want to give special thanks to Classy Kids Child Development Center for sponsoring this feature.
