Bob Jones Academy

» Band and chorus students performed with the U.S. Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus during their community concert held in Rodeheaver Auditorium on the Bob Jones University campus. Daniel Leedy (euphonium) of Greenville, Bryn Carrier (oboe) and Ethan Thompson (trumpet), both of Greer, played with the band while Lyndsie Gray of Taylors, Elliott Martin of Simpsonville, Emaley Fuller and Jared Miller, both of Greenville, sang in the chorus.

» The Middle School Lions soccer team finished the regular season as the No. 2 team in the Carolina Middle School Conference.

» Author Miriam Jones Bradley visited students Oct. 21. She spoke about the writer’s journey in hopes of inspiring students to develop a love for reading and creative writing.

» Homecoming 2015 is Nov. 14. Spirit Week dress up days for Lower and Upper school students will be are Nov. 9 - ’merica Day (red, white and blue), Nov. 10 - Tacky Tourist Day, Nov. 11 - Pajama Day, Nov. 12 - Throw Back Day (dress from any past decade) and Nov. 13 - Crusader Spirit Day.

» Crusader Homecoming basketball games are Nov. 14: 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. - alumni vs. alumni; 1:30 – 3 p.m. - alumni Low country boil; 3 p.m. - junior varsity; 4 p.m. - varsity women; 5:15 p.m. - varsity men.

» Students in Julie Sellars’ Enrichment Cluster class made colorful flower pots that will be taken to Gardens at Eastside by sixth grade BRIDGES students.

» Jen Malone and Stephanie Web taught an Enrichment Cluster class called #thecraftycru. Students painted original Crusader masterpieces.

St. Joseph’s Catholic School

» St. Joseph’s Catholic School and Christ Church Episcopal School celebrated the culmination of their joint “Together for Greenville” spirit week with a donation to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School totaling $41,000. The two schools hosted a 5K Color Run, multiple spirit nights at local restaurants, a roller skating night, powderpuff game, movie night, bubble soccer tournament and more, followed by a pre-game cookout at CCES before the Christ Church vs. SJCS varsity football game Oct. 23.
