This community Independence celebration will bring up to 7,000 people to enjoy the music of the Carolina Coast Band. The Band, sponsored by The Independent Mail newspaper, will perform from 6pm to close. This award winning band has many tributes for its performances, including Carolina Beach Music Festival Beach Band of the Year. It sets the standard for Carolina shag music performances. The Band will offer a few of its original tunes, along with a wide selection of songs from other artists including Wilson Pickett, Van Morrison and the Beach Boys.

There will be food truck vendors in Mineral Spring Park throughout the afternoon and music by Juke Box 45 on the amphitheater stage at 7:00 pm The Fire Department will have a Cruise-In with a 50/50 drawing and raffle, along with fire truck rides on the 1936 fire truck from 5:00-10:00 pm in the parking lot behind McDonalds. There will be a golf cart parade from the Ace Hardware parking lot, down Pelzer Avenue to Subway, making a right turn onto Main Street and proceeding back to the Ace parking lot. Please make plans to decorate your golf cart and participate. Fireworks start at dark. Fun, fun, fun for all ages.
