Mike Cruice's business gives prospective residents personal tours of Greenville

Families looking to move to or within the Greenville area have a plethora of options at their fingertips. How do they know what area is perfect for them and their interests? Enter Mike Cruice and his business, Make Greenville Yours.

Established five years ago, Make Greenville Yours gives prospective residents personal tours of the rich culture the area has to offer. Cruice highlights Greenville, Mauldin, Simpsonville, Greer, Travelers Rest and Taylors, while promoting locally owned enterprises and showing the charm of each area.

Cruice shows the Upstate to people from the west coast, Chicago, Florida and more. People are moving to the area to retire or raise a family. They are all looking for a change.

“Most of the people move for one of three reasons, or maybe all three – weather, taxes and politics,” he said.

The Greenville area is growing and expanding. What was once a hidden community has blossomed into a bustling metropolis of art, culture and diversity, with still-hidden gems waiting to be discovered.

The best part of the Greenville area is that everything is close. Cruice noted the ease of traveling within the Upstate, and regardless of where you live, you can be in the mountains, downtown Greenville or anywhere else relatively quickly.

Make Greenville Yours offers three levels of tours. The most popular is a three-hour driving and walking tour of the six cities, including schools, shopping, and medical accommodations. There is also a 90-minute tour of just Greenville or a fully customized tour for special interests or needs.

Cruice welcomes newcomers with open arms. Make Greenville Yours is used by realtors, city officials and corporations for Cruice’s extensive knowledge and friendly personality. You will meet him a stranger and walk away a friend.

“My business is more than the tours, it’s connecting people,” he said.
