Virtual Events for Babies, Kids & Teens at the Greenville Library
Virtual Story Times (For babies, preschoolers, toddlers & elementary aged children)
The Greenville Library System is excited to introduce Virtual Story Time for parents, caregivers, and their little ones. Uploaded to the Library's YouTube channel twice weekly, virtual story times are designed by professional early literacy educators working in the Youth Service department of the Library System using the tenets of the Palmetto Basics. Snuggle up and get ready for singing, playing, reading, and more with these story times designed to enrich your child’s early learning.
Percy Jackson Virtual Escape Room (for ages 11-17)
This virtual escape activity is based on the world and characters created by Rick Riordan as found in his series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Knowledge of this series or Greek mythology may be helpful, but is not absolutely necessary to complete this activity.
There is no time limit, so take as long as you need. This escape room was created to be completed individually, but feel free to take along co-heroes. Percy Jackson did! You could also time yourself and challenge a fellow camper to beat your time.
This virtual challenge was created with teens and adults in mind, so children may need extra help from more experienced campers.
Summer Reading Challenge & Prizes (for children ages 0-17)
Summer Reading 2020 is here. This year, there are reading challenges and prizes designed for babies, kids, and teens. Register today! While all library system locations are currently closed due to public health concerns, we are relieved and excited to remind you can read anywhere, and that reading also has the power to take you places.
