South Carolina Children’s Theatre announces 2020-2021 season

When its new home opens to the public in June, the South Carolina Children’s Theatre will be well on its way to a season that balances some old and some new for kids and kids at heart.

The 2020-2021 MainStage season will be the first to be entirely produced at SCCT’s brand new Theatre Arts and Education Center for Children.

Here’s what’s ahead for the season:

September 2020: “Annie”

October 2020: “Spookley The Square Pumpkin” (new for SCCT)

December 2020: the return of “Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells”

February 2021: “Robin Hood” (also a first for SCCT)

April 2021: “Pete the Cat”

July 2021: Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”

South Carolina Children’s Theatre will officially open the new Center for Theatre Arts and Education to the public in June 2020. The facility, located at 153 Augusta St., will serve as the organization’s headquarters. All SCCT MainStage and 2nd Stage performances will take place at the center. Learn more at
