UNDER THE ARCTIC: DIGGING INTO PERMAFROST is open at the Upcountry History Museum through Jan. 12. Journey through a 2,000-square-foot immersive and interactive exhibition that explores the incredible sights and smells of the Arctic with hands-on experiments, interactive models, fossil research stations and a 30-foot walk-through replica of the nation’s only permafrost research tunnel. Designed for families, life-long learners and school groups, the exhibition’s distinctive research stations introduce students to diverse STEM careers.
