HPV stands for human papillomavirus. This virus can cause cancers of the mouth, throat, anus and genitals and is transmitted through sex. There are more than 30,000 cases of these cancers each year – and most could be prevented with the HPV vaccine!
Some parents have concerns about this vaccine for various reasons. Learn more about what you need to know about the HPV vaccine. If you still have questions or concerns, talk to your pediatrician. He or she wants what’s best for your whole family.
