Before NASCAR driver David Ragan races at Bristol Motor Speedway in August, he will stop in Greenville to delight some of his youngest fans.

The community is invited to celebrate with Ragan at Shriners Hospitals for Children – Greenville from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Aug. 15. Ragan is a Shriner and he supports the hospital’s mission of providing care for orthopedic and other conditions to children in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and Alabama, regardless of their ability to pay.

Admission to the event is free. It features Ragan’s race car, a free hot dog dinner, a jump house, games and more. The first 50 people to arrive will be entered to win one of two family four-packs of tickets to the race in Bristol to be held Aug. 18. One of the hospital’s patient ambassadors, Wyatt Banks, will be Ragan’s special guest at the race. Ragan has also provided additional tickets to be used by the hospital’s patients and their families, as well as some staff members.

Registration is not required.

“It’s our chance to welcome the community to the hospital,” Trana Pittam, Director of Public Relations for Shriners Hospitals for Children – Greenville, said.
