Parents can save big on diapers this week at Lidl

Families shopping at Lidl will find a special deal on diapers this week.

From March 15-21, Lidl will offer 50 percent off its award-winning private label diapers, size 2 - 6, according to a press release from the European-based retailer. The discounted diapers will start at just $2.04 for a 44 pack, or about a nickel per diaper. Parents who stock up on a year’s worth of diapers this week can save up to $700 per child when compared to the average yearly cost of diapers in the U.S., a statement from the grocery chain estimates.

The promotion comes shortly after a study by the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler School of Business found that customers can save significantly by shopping at Lidl stores. That study, which highlighted savings on individual items, found customers can save up to 50 percent on groceries by shopping at Lidl compared to other nearby retailers. Even without promotional pricing, parents who shop at Lidl can save up to $540 per child per year on its regular priced diapers.

Lidl’s diapers, which have been popular among parents, were awarded the Parent-Tested, Parent-Approved seal of approval and were voted a Best New Product at the 2018 Cribsie Awards.

In addition to the diapers discount, Lidl will offer 30 percent off its listed assortment of organic baby food and snacks. Lidl will also have new items available under private label infant clothing brand Lupilu and infant accessories brand Nuby. These new products will start at just under $2 and are suitable for babies newly born to 24 months old. Nuby and Lupilu items can be found in the Lidl Surprises section and are only available while stocks last.
