Schools in the area have begun announcing cancellations for this afternoon.

Greenville County Schools has cancelled all afternoon and evening activities due to the impending weather. Check their Facebook page for updates.

School District of Pickens County posted on its Facebook page that all afternoon 4K classes are canceled today.

“Pickens County Emergency Management has advised the school district to avoid having students on the road during the storms late this morning and this afternoon. After school activities are cancelled. There is a possibility of late dismissal for all schools this afternoon.”

Anderson School District One also announced on its Facebook page that afternoon K4 classes have been canceled.

“Due to weather concerns and out of an abundance of caution for our students, there will be no afternoon K4 classes for Anderson School District One on Monday, April 3, 2017.”

Anderson School District Three began dismissing students at 12:30 p.m., according to its Facebook page.

Spartanburg area schools are on spring break this week.
