Greenville Monkey Joe’s closes
Monkey Joe’s, the indoor bounce house arena, closed its Greenville location Dec. 5, 2016. The closing was announced through the location’s social media accounts Dec. 2 with little explanation. The nearest Monkey Joe’s is now located in Gastonia, North Carolina, which is more than an hour’s drive from Greenville.
Special Chuck E. Cheese events
Churck E. Cheese recently announced via its social media that stores will be open 9 a.m. – 11 .m. on the first Sunday of each month specifically for children with autism and other special needs. The restaurant and game room will feature reduced lighting and noise and specially trained staff. Food and games will be offered during this time. The first event is scheduled for Jan. 8. Spartanburg sub shop opening location in Greenville
Monster Subs, which became a part of the Spartanburg food scene three years ago, will open a downtown Greenville location in March. The owners, Peter Gambino, along with his wife, Robbin, two sons, Jordan and PJ, and daughter-in-law, Amanda, will recreate their distinctive sandwich shop in a 1,350-square foot space at 206 Coffee St., according to The Greenville News.
