There is little more relaxing for me than an evening of live music. Fortunately, the Upstate is full of talented musicians. In the summer, you can find live music every week. Here are six places to enjoy live, outdoor music in the Upstate.

With its picturesque atmosphere, the Peace Center Amphitheater is the perfect place to relax. Reedy River Concerts are 7 – 9 p.m. on Wednesdays in June, July and August at the TD Stage at the Peace Center Amphitheater.

Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive offers music Thursdays night beginning at 5:50 p.m. at NOMA Square on Main Street. June’s lineup includes acoustic folk, soul and rockabilly.

Furman’s Music by the Lake Summer Concert Series performs Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Performances will be a cross-section of big band, jazz, bluegrass, contemporary, marches and orchestral favorites.

On Thursdays, the city of Spartanburg hosts Music on Main from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. Bands include alternative rock, southern rock, soul and jazz.
