Can’t seem to find the time to get to a gym? There’s an app for that!

Here are our three favorite apps for getting in shape.

Sworkit circuit training app:  One of the biggest trends in fitness right now is body weight exercise. Think old-school PE class. Choose a strength and cardio workout or yoga and stretching. From there you can choose upper or lower body, or core strength and choose the intensity of the workout. The full intensity cardio exercises will have you sweating in no time.

The moves reminded me a bit of an Insanity workout. The timer will take you through 30 seconds of each exercise. Each move has a teaching video. You select the amount of time you wish to work out and the app will give you a routine. Free, with $1.99 pro version available. For Apple iOS and Android.

7 Minute Workout Challenge: You don’t have to spend hours working out to get in shape. This seven-minute workout is a great full-body workout that features 12 exercises performed for 30 seconds with 10-second rest intervals.

There are several seven-minute workout apps available, but I like this one from Fitness Guide because it includes instructional videos for each exercise. $1.99. For Apple iOS and Android.

Zombies, Run! 3: Runs getting a little boring? This app is an imaginative diversion, a cross between a game and exercise app.

The app tells the story of a zombie apocalypse. Runners are given a new mission to complete during each run. For an extra challenge, you can turn on zombie chases that force you to run faster to avoid being eaten by zombies.$3.99 for Apple iOS; $1.75 for Android.
