Distract your preschooler — and yourself — from spring fever with crafts this February.

The Children’s Museum of the Upstate offers weekly preschooler story time events at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesdays – Saturdays. This month features a Chinese New Year lantern craft Feb. 2 – 6. Valentine crafts will be made Feb. 9 – 13. A Pete the Cat story and puppet craft runs Feb. 15 – 20. Next is a tooth craft for National Children’s Dental Health month, Feb. 23 – 26. Finally, the annual Maker’s Fest event Feb. 27, also suitable for older siblings, lets kids meet community “makers,” plus produce their own creations. Events are included in admission price.

The Greenville County Museum of Art features a free Valentine’s print-making workshop during Sundays at 2: Family Art Adventure. The all-ages event is 2 – 3 p.m. Feb. 8.

Table Time at Creating Artists for Tomorrow specializes in preschool art activities. Children rotate through stations with different projects. Snacks are served. The cost is $12. 10 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays – Thursdays at 1711 Creating Artists for Tomorrow, Old Spartanburg Road, Greer.

The Hughes Main Library’s Mini Makers program for children ages 2 – 5 will have a penguin-themed story and craft eent on 10:30 – 11 a.m. Feb. 3. Events are free, but parking charges apply.
