Now that the winter weather has cleared out (hopefully), families might be eager to get out and have fun. The weekend offers plenty of chances to do just that.

Roper Mountain Science Center will present Holiday Laser Shows at 4:30, 6, 7:30 and 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday in its planetarium. Shows are not recommended for children 5 and younger and feature a laser light show set to music. Cost is $8 per adult or child, or $4 for RMSC members.
