Celebrate Day of the Dead/ El Dia de Los Muertos at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Hughes Main Library. This special edition of bilingual story time/Cuentos bilingües. Children of all ages will enjoy an English/Spanish story time. Visit for details.

“Shrek the Musical Jr.” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday at Mauldin Cultural Center. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, the ogre Shrek leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance.Visit

Starry Nights is Friday at Roper Mountain Science Center. Show times are 6 and 7:30 p.m. at the T. C. Hooper Planetarium. A separate ticket is required for each show. The Daniel Observatory will also be open from 8 – 10:15 p.m., weather permitting, for viewing through the 23-inch telescope. Visit

Girl Scout Day is 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at the Greenville Zoo. Troops and individual Girl Scouts can explore all the zoo has to offer and see a 30-minute behind the scenes show. A Fall Family Harvest Festival is 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday at City Scape Winery in Pelzer. In addition to their standard wine tastings, they will also have bounce houses and slides for the kids, live music from Alex Davis, warm autumn spice wine by the glass, the lazy farmer food truck, and a bucket full of grapes you can stomp around in. Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment invites the community to help collect non-perishable items for Harvest Hope Food Bank and struggling Upstate families. A food drive will be held noon-2 p.m. Saturday on the Bon Secours Wellness Arena plaza. Families who donate five cans or more during the food drive will receive a complimentary ticket voucher for the opening night of Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment. Limit two vouchers per family and supplies are limited. The event will include face painting, balloon animals, a live radio remote with WFBC-FM B93.7, prizes, and more. Vouchers for complimentary tickets are limited. After the first 1,000 vouchers have been given out, everyone who donates five cans or more can purchase discounted tickets.
