Halloween is Wednesday, but families can get a head start on trick or treating this weekend with events such as Boo in the Zoo, Enchanted Forest and Halloween Hoopla.

Boo in the Zoo is 5:30 – 8 p.m. Friday and 4-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Greenville Zoo. In addition to trick-or-treating, fun-filled booths and Dragon Alley, this year’s event will feature the new Alice’s Fun House. Children must be accompanied by an adult and everyone is invited to come in costume. For details, visit www.greenvillezoo.com.

Enchanted Forest is 5:30 – 9 p.m. Friday and 4:30-9 p.m. Saturday at the Pavilion Recreation Complex. The event for ages 10 and younger includes a fairytale trick-or-treat experience with storybook characters, as well as carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, treats and a costume contest each night. First Presbyterian Academy in Greenville will host its fall festival 5-8 p.m. Friday for the community. This free event will include inflatables, food trucks, and more.

Harvest Festival is 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at Caine Halter Family YMCA, 721 Cleveland St., Greenville, and the Greenville Health System Family YMCA, 100 Adams Mill Road, Simpsonville. Free and open to the community, the events will include free hot dog plates, barbecue for sale, games and prizes, crafts, a cake walk, bounce houses, hay rides, a haunted trail, campfire and marshmallow roasting and live music. A Trunk or Treat for the community will be held 6-9 p.m. Friday at Mauldin First Baptist Church in Mauldin. The event will include candy, live music and free activities.

Halloween ComicFest at Borderlands Comics and Games and Richard’s Comics & Collectables in Greenville begins at 11 a.m. Saturday. People of all ages are invited to stop by for free candy and comics. All ages are welcome.Visit https://halloweencomicfest.com/catalog.

A Trunk-or-Treat is 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Life Restoration Center, 523 Old Easley Highway, Greenville. This family friendly event will feature food, games and candy.

Kroctoberfest is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Kroc Center in Greenville. This free festival includes bounce houses, crafts, games and activities, and prizes. Visit https://krocgreenville.org/kroctoberfest/

The 35th annual Bark in the Park will be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Conestee Park in Greenville. This kid-friendly event raises funds for Concerned Citizens for Animals and includes dog costume contests, vendors, games, entertainment, a silent auction, raffles, food and more. Halloween at Heritage Park, presented by Ray Thompson’s Upstate Karate, is 12:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature inflatables, vendors with items for children, food vendors, free games and prizes. Halloween Hoopla in Greer City Park is 4-8 p.m. Saturday. Hosted by Resurrection Church and The Church at Greer Station, this free community event will include free candy, inflatables, games, live music, face painting and more.

Spook-a-Rama, a free event for all ages, will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday at The Bridge Church in Easley, located behind Easley Gymnastics. It will include candy, games, inflatables, trunk or treat and a food truck. Rain or shine.

A Fall Festival is 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 at the pumpkin patch at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Greenville. All ages can enjoy a bounce house, games, prizes, and candy. Costumes are welcome. Visit http://stmatthewumc.net/st-matthew-fall-festival.

A Trunk or Treat and Fall Festival will be held 3:30-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 at Aldersgate UMC in Greenville. Family friendly costumes are welcome. The event will include dinner and children’s activities. The community is welcome.
