iMAGINE festival highlights first weekend in April
The first full weekend of April offers plenty of family friendly events for all ages.
Come out early for the Greenville Swamp Rabbits game Friday for a free pregame fan fest with inflatables, music, and street hockey in the Dew Street Hockey Zone. The final home game will begin at 7 p.m. and feature numerous giveaways as part of Fan Appreciation Night. Bon Secours Family Fun Packs are available. For details, visit www.swamprabbits.com.
Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at North Greenville University. Bank of America’s Museums on Us program offers free admission the first full weekend of the month to the Upcountry History Museum for cardholders. The 4th annual iMAGINE Upstate STEAM Festival will be held 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in downtown Greenville, featuring interactive exhibits and live stage shows from more than 70 STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) organizations. Chuck E. Cheese’s in Greenville will celebrate Sensory Sensitive Sundays starting April 8. The restaurant will be open two hours early on the first Sunday of every month, specifically for children with autism and other special needs. Bring Your Instrument and Play Day with the Carolina Youth Symphony is Sunday at Furman University’s Daniel Music Building.
