A PARENTS’ AND GRANDPARENTS’ PARTY is at 6 p.m. Sept. 6 at Fiction Addiction. The event includes refreshments, information about new and upcoming children's books, recommendations for kids and grandkids and giveaways of Advance Reader editions of children's books. Tickets are $15 each. Each ticket admits one adult (children are free) and can be redeemed for $10 off any merchandise purchased at the event. TAKE A CHILD OUTSIDE: CAMP Sept. 23 – 24 at Chimney Rock Park. A ranger will be available at 5:30 p.m. to help set up camp and build a campfire. The ranger will camp overnight to assist families. CELEBRATE GREENVILLE SHRINERS HOSPITAL’S 90TH BIRTHDAY 1 – 4 p.m. Sept. 24. The celebration includes three zones with birthday party themes, complete with jump houses, food and entertainment. Food and fun at the event are free. A Walk for Love at 2 p.m. will raise money for the hospital that offers care to children, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
