The Greenville Zoo will reopen at 10 a.m. Feb. 11. As part of the reopening, the zoo will celebrate Tatu's first birthday celebration from 11 a.m. to noon. Tatu, a  Masai giraffe, was born in early 2016.

On their Facebook page, the zoo posted, " Make sure you visit with Nelkan, the new male leopard and hopefully you will meet Lana, the new female orangutan (it has to be above 50 degrees for her to come on exhibit). The baby Siamang gibbon and the baby Colobus monkey, Zuri, are both a must see."

The zoo was closed to the public for two weeks for annual maintenance. Zoo and city staff as well as community volunteers cleaned, painted and made repairs to areas within the 14-acre zoo.
