Ahoy Mateys! The S.C. Children's Theatre will embark on a musical adventure full of pirates and fun when it presents "How I Became a Pirate" Feb. 5 – 14 at the Peace Center's Gunter Theatre.

In the play, young Jeremy Jacob joins some not-so-scary pirates and discovers that there really is no place like home. Back by popular demand and based upon the best-selling book by local author Melinda Long, "How I Became a Pirate" is good for ages 3 and older.

Admission is $27 for adults and $18 for children 18 and younger with special performances discounted to only $18 for adults. For details about the show, including performance times, visit http://scchildrenstheatre.org/onstage-tickets/onstage/p.

Upstate Parent has partnered with the children's theater to give away two tickets to the 7 p.m. Feb. 5 performance. Want to win? Visit our contest page to enter. Winner will be selected at random noon Tuesday, Jan. 19, and notified by email. Good luck!
