If your family doesn’t visit movie theaters because your child finds the darkness and noise overwhelming, there’s a new program that might make the experience easier.
Regal Hollywood Stadium 20 in Greenville will participate in Regal Entertainment Group’s My Way Matinee program, which will screen new movies in a sensory-friendly setting for families with autistic children. The sound will be turned down and lights turned up, and admission will be reduced to $6.50. The movies will be shown at 10:30 a.m.
Audiences can talk, sing, and move around during the presentation.
A screening of “The Peanuts Movie” is set for Nov. 21 and a screening of “The Good Dinosaur” Dec. 12.
