5 fall events in the Upstate to put on your calendar
October is a great time to be outdoors! The Upstate has several fall festivals that allow you to explore our cities and sample the best our communities have to offer. Now is the time to mark your calendars for these five events.
11 a.m. – 7 p.m., Oct. 1, Barnett Park, Spartanburg
Spartanburg is home to residents from more than 75 countries. The International Festival celebrates residents unique heritage with food, shopping, sports and entertainment from around the world. Visit the event website for more information.
Greer Station Oktoberfest
Noon – 10 p.m. Oct. 1, downtown Greer
Enjoy German oompah bands, German foods such as Bavarian white sausages, knackwurst, bratwurst, freshly baked pretzels, spätzle, Black Forest cake and, of course, German beer for the adults. Visit the event website for more information.
Fall for Greenville
Oct. 14 – 16, downtown Greenville
This popular Upstate festival, sponsored by Belk and presented by Pepsi, is jam packed with music, food and fun. Sample some of the best Upstate foods, beers and wines, see culinary demonstrations, and enjoy live music all weekend. The festival is in its 35th year! Art on the Trail
Oct. 21 – 22, Trailblazer Park, Travelers Rest
Art on the Trail is a two-day fine arts and crafts festival. The highlight of the festival is the Art Market, where you can see the work of regional artists. The festival kicks off with a concert tribute to Patsy Cline performed by Katie Rockwell. Visit www.artonthetrail.com for more information.
Oct. 29, Fluor Field, Greenville
