Parents’ Night Out
Valentine’s date night can seem like a distant memory when you have kids, but several local organizations offer a solution: Parent’s Night Out. For a small fee, they watch your children and provide activities while you enjoy a little time alone together.
1The YMCA offers Parent’s Night Out at several of its Greenville and Spartanburg locations. Children will swim and play games, while parents enjoy a night out. The program is offered monthly and is free for YMCA members. Advance registration is required
• GHS Program Center – ages 2-12, 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. on the first Friday of the month.
•Caine Halter YMCA – ages 6 weeks to 10 years, 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. on the second Friday of the month.
•Eastside YMCA – ages 6 weeks to 12 years, 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. on the third and fourth Fridays.
•George Theisen YMCA – ages 3-12, 6 – 10 p.m. on the second Fridays.
•Middle Tyger YMCA – ages 6 weeks and up, 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month.
• Thomas W Hannah YMCA – ages 6 weeks and up, 5:30-9:30 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month.
2 Greenville County Recreation Center offers Parents Night Out on the first Friday of each month from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Kids can enjoy a bounce house, movies and popcorn, a pizza dinner and craft. Children ages 5-12 are welcome with advance registration. The cost is $20 for the first child and $15 for each additional child. Register online at www.greenvillerec.com.
3 Sky Zone Greenville’s Parent’s Night Out is held each Friday evening from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. and offers a pizza dinner, games and activities and of course jump time. The cost is $25. For more information and to register, go to www.skyzone.com.
4 Hearts of Clay in Spartanburg hosts Kid’s Night Out from 6 – 8:15 p.m. the first Friday of every month. Dinner and a pottery project are included. The cost is $25. Advanced registration is required. Go to www.heartsofclay.com for more information.
