The Duke Energy Foundation has awarded a $50,000 grant to The Children's Museum of the Upstate, money that will be used for science, technology, engineering and math programs.

The money will go to the museum's TCMU on the Go program, a mobile version of the museum, which goes out to schools and other organizations around the Upstate to share lessons and programming related to technology and engineering.

The grant will allow the museum to expand its outreach efforts and provide STEM programming to schools and community organizations that have limited resources.
